Throttle linkage

I’ve spent most of the day updating the carb situation on the GMC today. Custom fuel line and making that Holly fit. Now, can anyone tell me which hole the rod for my carb linkage goes into. I found one place that gives my pedal travel, but it isn’t very much. I have been a Q-Jet man all my life and this is my first Holly and it is being difficult. So I ask you Holly guys to speak up and help me out, lol😆. Here is a pic of what I am dealing with. Thanks in advance👍

Re: Throttle linkage

I’ve used a bracket shaped like this. Bolt it in one bottom hole and use a spacer to keep it straight. Make the top hole as high as you can and as far forward.
Just an idea for you.

Or use one like this made for Holley.

What’s with the heat spacer?
Heat spacer isn’t very good with a Holley that has fuel bowls on the ends.
A heat shield is better.

Re: Throttle linkage

Thank you for some suggestions Geezer. That does seem to be the issue. Not enough travel in the pedal, and raising it up should solve that issue. I hate that spacer. Never was a fan of them on anything! The Performer Airgap intake (sigh), that I am using requires me to run it with the Holly type carb. The only direct vacuum port on the manifold seems to be directly underneath the rear fuel bowl. I needed the spacer to utilize that port for the brake booster and the vacuum modulator for the transmission.
