Ok guys I did a search and found that on 67-72's everyone siad you can run a 15x12 with 7.5 BS on the rear of our trucks with just a mini tub. Is this the same for ours? I would like to run a the widest tire I can out back and have to do body work to the bed anyway so might as well do it before i start. Let me know what everyone thinks

i'm running a 15x10 with 4.5 bs .

Actually, on 67-72's you can go up to 14" wide. I had 15x14's w/9.75" backspacing, a stock width 67/8 12bolt, & trailing arms. This combo used a 31x18.5x15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman. I stretched my bed tubs all the way to the frame (they're approx 20" wide). You cannot run this set-up w/lowering blocks.

With the 73-up models, you can't go that wide w/o moving the leaf springs inboard of the frame rails. If your not moving the springs, but widen the wheel tubs, you could prob fit 12" wide wheels w/about 6-6.5" of back spacing.

you might be able to tuck a 15.5 inch wide tire on a 15x12 with the leaf springs there but you'll have to do some measuring on your own to get your back space right casue it will be pretty close

With a flip kit out back, I run 17x9½ with a 5½" backspacing. I have a set of 255/55's on their right now, but I PLAN to put 275/50 17's on soon.

uh, Tim, we're talking WIDE tires here. the tires that came stock on my 91 are wider than the ones you mentioned.

any other input i am getting ready to buy, here are my choices in a prostar

15'' x 12''
Rear Spacing: 4.5''

15'' x 12''
Rear Spacing: 6.5'' $199

or
15'' x 12''
Rear Spacing: 7.5''

also what size tires can i use? I will be streching my wheel wells so let me know

i have fitted a 22 by 12 inch wheel with a 325/40/22 tire with no clearance issues. it has no drop either.
