Wanted to buy, an Eaton 4.1 0 rear carrier from a 1968-72 Chevy 3/4 ton 8 lug rear axle. Rear carrier is all I need with the 4.10. I believe it be the ho52. I'm replacing the 5.47 rear carrier assembly in a 1949 3/4 ton GMC truck. The Eaton 4.10 is a direct bolt in for the 49 3/4 ton I am working on. Open driveline.

I have one you can have for free BUT it has a distinct whine (needs gear lash set??) and you have to pick it up. I removed it a couple months ago because of the noise it was making. I am just north of the notch off I93 if interested.

please check the dates on these posts you are responding too these are almost 10 years old. put your own wtb thread as a subscribed member and someone will get you one. they are getting harder to find.
