Track bar stud broke

Hello I was changing the bushing on my 1971 c20 track bar when I broke the stud trying to take off the nut for the track bar. I did order a stud kit from lmc although the stud that came was far too small. I cannot find the large one anywhere online. Has anyone else ran into this or have found a solution. Thank you

34-1239 Is the listed LMC track arm bush and bolt kit for C10...

Is yours a C-10 or C-20?

What rear axle do you have in the trck?

Pics please, especially where the bolt snapped out will help...

Thanks

It's a c20 with a dana 60. That's the part number I ordered but it ended up being too small compared to the original. I'll post pics tomorrow of it

Re: Track bar stud broke

If you are in a hurry for this...take the broken piece to a metal turner and have them make you another one...

Its not anything special material wise...

Summit lists one from Classic performance but its on back order until November 11, 2018

https://www.summitracing.com/ga/part...ic-performance

Hope this helps...

The broken piece really looks like a C30 sized piece...

The other alternative is to mount an aftermarket track bar system...that mounts to the passenger side trailing arm U bolt...

Try CPP online ...might be an easier fix...

That would make sense to be a c30 since it's so much bigger, I was thinking I may have to go to an aftermarket one but do you think they would still work for c20? What is cpp online?

Re: Track bar stud broke

I think all C/30 trucks are leaf springs not requiring a trac bar
