In the '63-'66 trucks all engines mount in the same rearward location, whether it is a I6 or a small block. The stock rams horn manifolds dumped straight down. Yes the shorty headers will work as well as long tube headers designed specifically for the '55-'72 trucks. Yes the exhaust manifolds will hold the heat a bit longer than headers.
