I have drum brakes on mine but the stops were missing when I put the front end together in 1998 and it has never had stops on it. Lets the wheels go a bit to far but that's why stops are there, to keep the wheels from turning too much to one side.
I'd think with a couple of minutes of thinking you can remove the stops, figure out how far you want the wheels to turn to the side and adjust the length of the pin or depth of the nut that holds it and go on. It's only an issue when you make a turn with the wheels at full lock to one side anyhow such as turning into a parking spot. Just like swapping from vehicle to vehicle and learning how each turns in certain situations you adjust and go on with life.
