Suburban fuel neck
Does anyone know a supplier of stock suburban fuel necks for a 1968 'Burb? I know LMC and Brothers doen't carry them. The previous owner lost the key to the locking gas cap so he pried it off and ruined the fuel neck. May be cheaper to just convert to a fuel door?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Suburban fuel neck
AFAIK, it is not reproduced. I'd check around in the Suburban/Blazer parts area

Re: Suburban fuel neck
Sorry I probably don't have this either....Do you have a photo?...Any chance you could have the neck repaired? ..it's a separate piece from the fuel tank right....You might post a WTB...in the parts section.

Re: Suburban fuel neck
The part number for a gas cap is the same for Suburban, Blazer, or Truck so I might purchase the fuel neck for a truck and splice the two together.

Re: Suburban fuel neck
I'll try to splice and if that doesn't work I'll weld in a fuel door off some later model and use its fuel neck.

Re: Suburban fuel neck
I would contact atvpro on the board here to get a good used one.
Randal fabricates fantastic 67-72 vintage 4-door crew cab truck cabs and uses Suburban donor vehicles for parts so he has a few select Suburban specific pieces in his parts collection that do not get used on the crew cab trucks. Here is one of his builds http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=499490

Re: Suburban fuel neck
Thanks, I'll follow up on that lead and hopefully I'll be able to get a fuel neck.
