Re: Looking for Body Tool Suggestions
Quite a graphic thread here...
I'm with Joedoh. I use a Metabo 4.5" paddle grinder, with the quick change nut. E-z disc changes. It runs smooth, and is well balanced. WORTH EVERY PENNY! https://www.amazon.com/Metabo-WP9-11...6PF37WQYPWD3MP I've used lots of cut off wheels, and NEVER had one explode. Use them with respect, don't let them bind. And, use a quality one. I use the Metabo slicer, and ceramic flap discs from Lehigh Valley abbrasives. https://www.lehighvalleyabrasives.co...0-met655997000 https://www.lehighvalleyabrasives.co...0cp-fd4-5-40cf

Re: Looking for Body Tool Suggestions
Couple other sheet metal tools I love:
Harbor Freight electric metal shears. Great for straight lines, and even radiuses. No clean-up. Really quite. No safety glasses required (though I never take mine off). It says it's good for 16 ga. If yo want to do that, buy the warranty. It will do it, but only for a while. Great on 18 ga, and smaller. HF punch/flanger. Pretty slick. Punch works better than flanger. Great for lap welds. Oil often. They don't last forever. This is my second one... |
