Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
Darn it!
I have been pretty good about bagging and tagging...Oh well. On my 72 C10, I can't find the four foam donuts for the inside door actuators and window cranks. What have you guys done? Make some up or a WTB thread? Suggestions appreciated. Stock photo for reference: Thanks |

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
I guess I will have to innovate.
Some round diameter foam and my hole punches should work. Can't find replacements on any vendors web sites. I assume the factory installed them for anti-rattle purposes? Not sure. Thanks again Leon. |

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
LMC used to carry them for the squarebodies...might be the same size...or close enough.

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
The 1947-66 trucks used the foam donuts behind the door panels, all the documentation we've seen which is the 1967-72 factory assembly manual and GM Truck master parts catalog show they were not used in 1967-72. We've seem them installed in some 67-72's and have always assumed previous owners added the 47-66 interior door handle foam seals.

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
I had the donuts on my truck, and I know they were from the factory

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
Richard, you made my day!
I finally realized where those door handle donuts went along with several other of my original and reusable C10 parts....MIA and long gone... This takes a little of the sting out of getting my 72' away from of the restoration shop from Hell and back home to finish. Slow but sure and a lesson learned. Guys like you is why this site is the best. Much appreciation and thanks again Richard Sam Last edited by samkost; 10-12-2018 at 06:53 PM. Reason: Name |

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
Most of the parts suppliers for these trucks have them. I got some from Southern Kentucky. The upholstery guy said to just punch holes in regular foam... So a little block of foam with holes punched in it would work just as well.
Wound up not needing it on mine after I went to all the trouble to buy them. I'd send them to you if I could find them.... |

Re: Inner Door Panel Foam Donuts
Foam water pipe insulation is what I used on two of mine. Cut to size and your good to go.
