They are ceramic coated and at the time they cost about $450 (listed at $435 on their site). Model BB3 for a 64-up Chevelle.

Yep. Simple as can be. Just turn a few wrenches. I think I'll start tomorrow. I'll probably need somewhere to live too. I think my wife would run me off. She already says I love my truck more than her.

Of course they aren't full length, they are 3/4... I can "mock" them up in the frame and get you pics to check clearance issues if you want since we are both working on BBC '73's....

Captkaos, what brand and model (part # if possible) are those headers? What years of our trucks are they designed to fit? I'm looking into eventually putting headers on mine and those look a nice, heavy set. For now, when I build the motor, im just going to POR-20 coat the original sandblasted manifolds, but down the road a bit, I'll be looking for headers.

Check post #26 above for the info. They weren't designed for our trucks though, they were made for Chevelles.

Those headers work for 67-72's w/big blocks as well. I have a set of those but mine are 'appearance challenged' instead of coated.

OK, here are the pics of the body mounts. The first pic is a "side by side" of the way PST says to install them next to the old OEM rubber mounts. The second pic is another "side by side" showing how I think the PST mounts should be installed. The first pic would give me more clearance between the cab and trans, while the second pic gives me about 1/4" of clearance.

I just finished installing them the way the second pic shows, and I am uncomfortable with the 1/4" of clearance I have now.

When the BB engine plates arrive, I will install them and see what that does. Another option I have, the PST trans mount states you should use their supplies spacer place between the mount and the trans...if I DO NOT use that I will gain another 1/8" or so of space...something I should try?

I'm not sure what to tell you on the body mounts. I put stock ones back on my truck so I didn't have any trouble figuring out which way to mount them. I can't understand why they would make them close the same shape/size and then tell you to mount them backwards.

I use PST on all my trucks, and I have NEVER installed them like the top pic shows. That is WRONG! Put them in the way pic 2 shows. I am sure the illustrator put the numbers on everything and apparently didn't put it on there correctly.
