Trouble with hydro boost install

I have 1970 C20, disc brake conversion to 73+ parts, new calibers, new master cylinder, used proportion valve and an Astro van hydro boost unit.

I turn on the truck and the brake pedal sinks by an inch or two. I press the pedal and it moves maybe an inch or two. I’m getting no fluid to the calibers or the proportion valve.

Before I finished installing the master cylinder, in my haste to hear the motor run I shot the rod out of the hydro boost unit. I tap the cylinder back in and put the rod and spring back in then I installed the master cylinder.

How much movement should I have from my brake pedal?

Could my master cylinder be locked up or the push rod not long enough?

Thanks

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?
