I need some help adding Power Steering to a 327

Looking for brackets, pics and/or part numbers to add a power steering pump to my 68 c10. 327 w short water pump.
I don't really want to switch it to the long water pump setup. I have a steering box. I think I know where to find a good, used pump.
Anybody got a source for brackets?
looks like I might need a different crank pulley?

Thanks, Russ

I think a donor with all the brackets, pulleys, pump etc off any short water pump V8 would be best. Aligniment, getting pulleys to line up is tough...mounting holes already in the 327?

This is a stock set up. You can buy the double crank pulley that nestles in the single. Belt for PS pump goes to outside.

Yeah, pulley pn is:3751232, they're available on fleabay
I would prefer original brackets, but might consider Geezers suggestion for an after market setup.

Re: I need some help adding Power Steering to a 327

I bought a whole truck to do this to my '67. Drivetrain was long gone, but a got it cheap, kept a pile of parts, and sold it to a salvage man for almost as much as I paid for it. I highly recommend the process.

BTW--and this part will make some guys on here scream--the truck was a '68 model with a small rear window.

It looks like that's the way I'm gonna go. I found the bracket and pulley for $95
I already have a pump, lines and steering box.
The entire upgrade should cost about $150 including fluid.
I've been meaning to do this for 4 or 5 years.
My wife always tells me, she'd like to drive the truck, if it wasn't so hard to steer.
..I hope she still lets me drive it on occasion.

Re: I need some help adding Power Steering to a 327

Got my Alan Grove PS pump bracket and 3rd groove pulley today.
Nice unit, heavy duty, fits great.
Painted it black and installed it. easy peasy.
Pulleys line up perfectly, It's pretty slick.
I can't wait to have power steering!

I did mine last year, well worth doing. Your going to need also a new pitman arm, a new rag joint. I found my pulleys on ebay for a gmc pickup. the pump and bracket i found at a you pull it junkyard, the steering box was in a box when i bought the truck. hardest part of the conversion was getting the bolt started at the motor mount.
