I was in West Palm Beach, FL this weekend on my bike a 96 HD Heritage Classic, pulling into the parking lot I got rearended. Lucky no one was hurt and insurance will pay for the damage to the rear fender. But when the police arrive to do a police report she told the cop that I cut her off and stopped. I was not mad until then because it just creased the metal and paint and is fixable and that is what insurance is for. But she tried to talk her way out of a couple of hundred dollars and blaming me, that some of the scratches were already there and that some of the damage was from the bike being dropped and not hit by a car. Then I was mad, why cant people take responsibility for their actions do the right thing. If she gives me any problems with her insurance I will have her in court then maybe she will realize that I would have been cheaper to pay up. I have found a place that sells replacement fenders for less than $100 I can strip all the hardward tail lights and turn signals they were not damaged and replace it myself. I would just have to paint it, but I have never shot paint before. Any one out there fix damaged panels on their own and what did you have to do? I will try to post some pics of the damage not bad but still needs to be fixed.
