Someone else will probably know more about this than me but I do know on the older trucks (64-66) one of the holes in the frame will line up to bolt a later P.S. box to the frame. You have to drill out the other 3 to match your box and then you can shim it out. As you know there is no indention in the frame to clear the box. That was the way we used to do it but nowdays they sell those neat kits to bolt it up. I think the outfit that makes them is called called Rez engineering or something like that. The vendors that sell the 64-66 stuff have those kits, I bet one would work on your 67. We installed one on 65streetcruisers truck a couple of years ago and it worked out well. I think he got his from Chevy-Duty but not sure. We put a 71 box on his. I think all the way to 87 will work but they changed to a metric line sometime in the late 70's I'm told. Someone else may know for sure. Hope this helps.

I have done the P/S installation on my 68. Well worth the time and effort. I indented the frame and used an old piece of a 4x4 frame for the pattern to drill the mounting holes. Then shimed out, to get it just right. If you do not dent the frame the box input shaft will NOT align correctly with the steering wheel shaft. Some people say this is OK, but I think it puts too much stress on the components. Others say the indention reduces the frame strenght, but I believe all the frames were dented from 69-72. You can add a GM frame brace if you are running large tires. I also have the NAPA part numbers for the drag link.
