Swapping columns
Next weekend I plan to swap steering column out in the ramp truck. I have the tilt column done and ready to install. Taking a old 3 speed out of it. I ordered a 3/4" 36 spline DD union to make it up to the shaft in the truck now. Here is what it looks like.
My plan is pull the steering column out of it. Then install the tilt and have it mounted. Take the rag joint and shaft and cut it as long as possible. Then remount it and cut it again for the right length. I shouldn't have to take the fire wall bracket & boot out since the tilt is for a floor shifter. I have cut the gear selector rod off since this picture was took. I hope. No neutral switch to mess with either. Anybody see anything I'm missing

Re: Swapping columns
Looks like you have it figured out. You know how to build one and make it nice anyone that knows you is aware of that fact. Good luck and have some fun

I'm going to slide this one up closer to the dash for extra room even though I don't need it but I may in the future! Are if I ever sell it the new owner may.
