'67 Chevy Panel Truck

-
I went to a small toy show held in the school gym this morning and found this. I always make two or three rounds because you seem to see something different every time you go around. I didn't see this until the last pass but I had to have it since I have a real one.....

On the box it says "Maytag Recognition Program" 2003-2004 Limited edition collector bank. On the bottom it says "brought to you by a joint cooperation between Maxim Advertising (Newton, IA) and Liberty Classics, Inc." It also has the number 4047 stamped into the cardboard on the bottom of the box. I don't know any more about it than that.

I originally posted this in the Suburban & Panels forum, then I remembered there was a forum for scale stuff. I only have two models so I don't think about this forum.....

Re: '67 Chevy Panel Truck

Its a neat little bank. My grandson has five or six car banks and I give him pocket change to put in them. He came over this weekend and had a couple of dollars and some change with him, first thing he did was put it in one of his banks.

I would have never seen the panel bank if you posted it here first. Not a forum I even think about. In over ten years its only had around 500 posts started here. I liked it better when these kind of posts popped up on the main board areas. They got quite a bit of attention.

I don't recall seeing a Maytag one before. If they weren't lower production I'd say rip that box open and get started on making it a replica of your real one.

Thanks guys. I don't have any idea how many Maytag ones were produced. If the number on the box is any indication I'm wondering if it was 5000. Dunno....

Re: '67 Chevy Panel Truck

I've never seen one of those. I've looked and found a couple of "US Mail" ones but that one is cool. I've also found a couple of Blazer ones but they are just a red and white.

If anyone has any one of these 67 Panel Delivery truck die cast for sale I'm interested! It would make a very cool gift I could give to my Gal, we built her a 68 Panel together! It's her baby! Thanks! Greg
