1965 1 ton to 1/2 swb project

This truck has been in my wife’s family since about 78. My father-in-law gave me this truck about 15 years ago. Life happened and this got put on the back burner. Several projects came and went and this truck sat. I bought a 65 long bed frame about a month ago. I cut down the long bed frame this morning and had a buddy help me haul it to my house from my in-laws. I started cleaning the truck out today to find out how much work it really needed. All the sound deader and original rubber mat held moisture in the floor and started to eat at it pretty good.

Enough about all that. Here are today pics.

Got the doghouse apart and the cab unbolted over the long weekend. Also got the frame welded back together. Need to move the rear cab mounts and try to get the cab swapped this coming weekend.
