I'm interested in the answers you receive. I'm going through a similar situation with my 70 GMC. Though I've got the old 350 in mine. What crate motor did u go with and how much was it?

Measure from back face of trans case to end of output shaft
Assuming 2 WD trans,,,there are actually 3 lengths Short 6" Intermediate 9" Long 12" Post a pic of the old trans and someone will identify it for ya... Find yourself a local trans shop that has a good reputation...that way if you get any issues you will have a local support / warranty loop... ![]() ![]() ![]()
