New wheel tire combo ready to mount (skinny tires + big block)
In my thread here, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=763360, I was looking for input to get a stock hubcap looking setup for my C10.
I tracked down some original hubcaps on Ebay, found some 15x7" wheels at Scott's Supertrucks, Alberta, and ordered the Cooper Trendsetter tires. The wheels were painted red, so I sanded the paint off, and spray painted primer, white paint, and clear coat. The tire mounting shop nicked the painted lip up during the tire installation, so I had to do some paint touch ups. I'm not going to the hassle or cost of powder coating the wheels like I've seen others do. ![]() ![]() Nothing fancy ![]() Primer ![]() Waiting for the paint to dry, went sledding in British Colombia (iPhone photos). ![]() ![]() Tires ![]() Mounted with hubcaps ![]() ![]() Can use a little polish ![]() Next, mount 'em on the truck. What a build up with no pics on the truck, eh?! I'll get them on an update with a photo.

Re: New wheel tire combo ready to mount (skinny tires + big block)
Looks like a blast. I raced dirt bikes for years. Sleds are so forgiving compared to a bike, like being on the water. We carved up the deep woods of northern Michigan in my youth before I moved out west(bikes in the summer, sleds in the winter). My '91 KTM 250 still sits in my garage pissed at me cuz Im not 25 anymore

I'm in the process of putting my NOS wheel covers and 7" wheels and white walls on my truck.

Re: New wheel tire combo ready to mount (skinny tires + big block)
Absolutely love the look of the whitewalls and the original P01's.....damn near perfect, nicely done.
As for the sled/mountain/B.C pics.....unbelievable....as usual. Living near the Alberta/BC border is a gift from God....lol. Out here on the coast the mountain line is pretty much always green ....but the winter sports element is such a great thing...Sleds, Skates, Ski's.....nice going eh?...lol All good Coley
