Michael which rod do you have? From the clutch pedal lever to the z bar?

Michael sounds good. Please provide a total amount and payment method preferred. I'll certainly take the pivot ball if you have it.
Thanks!

I don't have one - it seems to be a pretty simple part I thought I'd fabricate, but how much would you like to have for it??

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

Have to dig it out of the parts stash and get pics. Looking for $15 plus $5 ship, total $20 to your door. I don't have Paypal, money order payment or $$ works also. LMK if interested and I will dig it out of the parts stash. "IF" you do want it, I have a glass bead machine and will blast, prime and paint included in that amount.

Like playing with my new toy, LOL.

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

I will take it for 20 bucks shipped. PM me your address and I'll get payment on its way to you by snail mail on Monday.
Thanks!
Jeff
PS - seriously, don't worry about refinishing the item as you described. My truck is no show piece lol.

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

Jeff, thanks for the purchase. I know I have one for sure, maybe two. Will dig into the parts stash later today. Can still do the pics if needed or wanted. Will ship "as is", will fit right in with a "patina" truck look.

PM sent with payment info. Thanks,

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

Michael that looks good.
So $30 for the z-bar and rod
$5 for the ball
And $12.50 to ship
= $47.50 total. Sound correct? Let me know how you'd like payment sent and I'll get it to you.
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

This stuff here is a bargain if you need the parts to fit a v8 in the stock location.
Complete set of linkage for a known application......

There it is - One Fell Swoop

I'd be jumping on that if I didn't have the clutch pedal.

You should be jumping on it because it’s the right parts.
The parts you have been offered or are are buying are not the correct parts for a v8 in the stock location.
What exactly are you working on, year, engine, etc. is it all stock and original?

I’m trying to save you some grief and probably money by getting parts that you need and will work together. If your intent on buying random parts and hoping they work then that’s ok too.

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

My truck is a '71 converted to four speed. I just sold the original 350 out of it and have ordered an L31 longblock. I'm going to work the Z bar around a set of headers. I am not certain but I don't really expect this to just fall into place, but at the same time not too concerned with making certain adjustments to make it work.

Re: WTB - Z-bar / cross shaft and linkages

Well you will have to make the headers work around the linkage and with some headers that means a new tube bent and welded in.
There are lots of threads in this forum about which linkage is which, most along with the pics are wrong amd its stuff people made work.
The easiest thing to do is buy the right parts install them, then you can concentrate on other things such as the possible header clearance issue. Header manufacturer should state.if fits manual trans or not. If it doesnt fit per them its the back tube.
Im just trying to help, i have worked on these trucks since 1980 and have modified my share of stuff too.

Post a picture of your engine frame mounts. They should be mounted to the forward holes in the frame.
