Yep...your gonna be sick of rust repair before its over....and yours isn't that bad...I've seen much worse....
Do you have any experience welding thin sheetmetal?...what type welder do you have?.....I'd get some scrap pieces of sheet metal to practice on before you start the real thing....and if possible to access , a copper backer will help tremendously when welding the thin stuff...
