Curious about what adhesives you used? I have to do this to my 99. The dash has succumbed to the TX heat & crumbled to pieces. I have never been a fan of 'dash-caps' but it appears there's really not much of an alternative for these later model trucks. What brand dash-cap did you use? I see a couple of spots in the pics that could possibly be tweaked for a better appearance if desired but it looks decent enough for the daily grind.
