Re: Post a real Cheyenne Super only (aka the defiinitive Cheyenne Super thread)!

just to clarify (since i think you’re referencing my comment) - if YE9 is listed anywhere on the SPID, it’s legit, regardless of order of listing. By “highest” - I was referring to the highest trim level listed.

Thanks. My bad. Wasn't trying to antagonize. I was just happy to have a definitive answer.

No worries at all! Just wanted to clarify, that's all. I could've described it better in the first place. Thanks again for posting the truck, very nice and kept very original.

Re: Post a real Cheyenne Super only (aka the defiinitive Cheyenne Super thread)!

Bought this truck a few weeks ago. I'm planning to drive it sparingly pretty much as-is. It has been a Colorado truck all its life.

Removed the mud flaps today. Cleaned out the cowl as best I could with vacuum (was packed with leaves and dirt). Hoping to swap the mirrors for sport mirrors. Also, hoping to also bring the paint back to life as best I can--that might be a spring time project.

And yes, the "Super" emblems are incorrectly placed. It appears the front fenders are not original, and they mounted the emblems incorrectly above the "Cheyenne" emblems.

I removed the wrap on the transmission shifter, and it is painted black. Is it true that Cheyenne Super manual transmission shifters were chrome?...thought I heard that once. I know the NP205 shifters were chromed on Supers.

Nice find. I love the ochre! It's gonna be hard to keep the restoration bug away isn't it? I keep telling myself NO,...but another voice keeps saying go for it.
