Re: Need some advice on which intake/coil covers to run on 2005 5.3 truck engine?
Just a thought, i was where you are a couple years ago. I decided after seeing the costs to do some of the other ideas to just go with a new intake and Throttle Body combo. Summit Racing has some nice combos for decent price.
Anyways, just a thought. |

I like the way some of the aftermarket intakes look but was not sure if mechanically it would be an upgrade? What did you end up spending on your set up?

Re: Need some advice on which intake/coil covers to run on 2005 5.3 truck engine?
I was gt too be honest and tell you .....i'm not sure. I just got mine initially tuned by my tuner., so I have yet to drive and I have never drove it without. I completely rebuilt my motor with full kit including the"hot cam" kit from WS6Store. Which I do recommend them in case your wondering. So I am the one to answer that question. With that said, .....i'm overly pleased with what I've found with it! Again, I have redone the motor beyond stock. Looks il real you are 10x better that I can promise. I've seen videos of guys cutting and sanding the stock intakes to max same them look better and they really do, but for the time and effort, I just went new.
Sorry .....i'm not more help. |
