Rust Prevention inside Rockers

Is anybody doing anything to prevent rust inside the rocker panels? Mine has some surface rust that I can sand off and treat, but I'm concerned about the inside. My idea is to cut a couple of small holes in the back of it to clean it out and get some rust converter and coating in there. Any thoughts?

Sherman williams Industrial 2 part A B primer in black works really well. I prime military vehicles with tis and it vertually in penatrable in fact I used some on my complete undercarrage 1 year ago over rust and all and haven't seen any bleed through yet. Don't use it on exterior though because auto paint will not stick for long..

I have the epoxy primer and Rustmort, which should work well. What I'm worried about is cutting holes through the backside of that rocker. Would that cause other problems, such as body flex, or open me up to more corrosion?

The Eastwood stuff looks like it might be the same as ZeroRust, which I have also ordered.
