Tach cluster values
Is there still a demand for these? I got 2 from a local yard, one 74 and other 80s. Both are from big trucks, has the fuel gauge in with the tach, and air pressure bottom left, where it is normally with a tach. Years ago I couldn't I couldn't keep em, sold every one pretty easily. Been out of the square game for a while, so not sure what they are worth. Gotta clean em up, but look decent. Tabs are all there, and even the circuit boards look good. Insane prices on evilbay, but doesn't mean what they are worth....

Re: Tach cluster values
Do a search on a few old threads in the parts section of the forum, and see what they sold for. Then search eBay and see what the average price are on those.

Re: Tach cluster values
Evilbay has 2 on there, one is 799 and another is 899. I'd be sweet if they went for that much, but I highly doubt they will get it. It looks like around 2-300, depending what they are and what shape there in. Could at least clean it before listing, jeez.....

Re: Tach cluster values
I'm in the process of upgrading my 91 to a tach. Parts cost me about 250.00 to install the tach and move the fuel guage to the lower corner

Re: Tach cluster values
I bought one years ago just like your 80's one from a guy parting a C60 on Craigslist. Paid $40 which was and is still a steal in my book. Keep in mind that was "craigslist I went to the guy's house and pulled it from the truck myself" value. Cluster was in comparable shape, and these are a real easy install into C10-C30 81-87 trucks. Same pinout just plug it in.
Keep in mind it's risky to sell on ebay these days with their new "customer first" policies. I'd try the classifieds here. Can you verify the tach works? If so easily worth 250-300. |

Re: Tach cluster values
I used to sell these all the time. At the time, I had a square so I could test them. Sold last one years ago, and dont' even know anyone that's close that has one. The later unit looks to be in very good condition. The older one looks good actually, just, old lol. Gonna try evilbay after Xmas, see how they do.

Re: Tach cluster values
I would think these wouldn’t be worth much today. There seems to be several aftermarket options now that look close to stock.
Although I do still have a stash of the factory ones, I think I may have purchased a few of them from you b454rat? I also have a low RPM diesel tach that I’m hoping to use in my Cummins swap.

Re: Tach cluster values
Thats a nice one. I would think people with the digital speedometer would like the tach since it would match the number's font, plus retain the clock since the fuel is in the tach. Those people usually pay a bunch since a lot of LS conversions use the digital speedo. I have the older blue line one.

Re: Tach cluster values
Here the older one. Not in bad shape, but the circuit board has a couple spots where the copper has worn off.

Re: Tach cluster values
PM sent GSouthern.
The newer cluster has dual needles. The older one is a single. Also, think the older one was swapped in, since there is no fuel gauge. |
