Re: Looking for solid steel 2.5" exhaust donut gaskets

I actually bought those and they are not hard like my Nos 2" Ramhorn ones. They look layered like the fiber ones. Not what I was hoping for. If I press hard with my fingernail it makes a mark. If it was solid steel i should not be able to do that. 70STOVEBOLT please post pictures of yours. I may take them as well.

Hmm, that's disappointing. I plan on going the route of 2.5 inch ram horns and was thinking I had a source for the donuts. Thanks for clarifying. I wouldn't want to purchase them either.

70STOVEBOLT, you wouldn't happen to have two sets for sale would you?

Re: Looking for solid steel 2.5" exhaust donut gaskets

I did purchase a few from rock auto at that exact part number. When I get them I will post pictures. The corvette central one said metal as well so now I'm not sure. That's why if 70 stove bolt has the real metal ones I want to make sure I get a set. Hate the cheap fiber ones.

Re: Looking for solid steel 2.5" exhaust donut gaskets

The ones I have are the F7139S which have been discontinued by Mahle, they only offer the fiber type now. I thought I had an unused set but they are slightly used, I ran them with the manifolds for about 500 miles then switched to headers. If anyone is interested let me know and I will get pics.

Re: Looking for solid steel 2.5" exhaust donut gaskets

I bought a pair at autozone last year, I’ll look for a part number. Solid steel is all I will use from now on. They work very well.
