What component brands does CPP use? (ball joints etc)
CPP's front rebuild kit looks like a bargain compared to replacing each part with Moog, but what kind of quality are their components?
Anyone know what brand they use? I don't want to grab it if I will be getting some off-brand junk. Any alternatives to their kit??? Thanks! EDIT: Ok, I lied. It would cost me $10 more to go with individual Moog parts. Their upper/lower ball joint kit, however, is $45 cheaper than a set of Moogs.

Re: What component brands does CPP use? (ball joints etc)
Took receipt of my CPP complete wheel kit today and was looking over the parts. The upper ball joint is marked "OSK6136". The Moog part number for their upper ball joint is "K6136", could this be a Moog part or simply share a similar part number?

Re: What component brands does CPP use? (ball joints etc)
I bought CPP lower tubular a-arms and BOTH ball joints were JUNK!! They almost killed my on the road with how bad they made the steering. I emailed them with a video and they sent one replacement of the same brand. I didn't even waste my time and put moog in and now all is good. Whatever they use, they suck!! Very disappointed with the quality and wished I had spent a couple hundred more dollars for a different brand a-arm.

so much cheep unsafe low quality crap out there these days .
i did 2 moog problem solvers for a friend for less than the price of 1 prem box store unit . just went to rock auto and got the best price . steering / brakes / seat belts 3 things NOT to cheep out on in my opinion .

Re: What component brands does CPP use? (ball joints etc)
Houston Ben, when you replaced the ball joint, how did you install the moog ball joint?
The same way CPP installed theirs or the way MOOG showed in their instructions. Sorry i know its an old thread. Thanks |
