I just realized today that I still had never posted any pics of my truck since I got it way back last summer. Heres a few. **Don't mind all the rust, lol**

You have a pretty nice looking truck attached to all that rust. Can it be saved?

Well to be honest, I bought it sight unseen which was a mistake. It was described as having "little rust". I shouldn't have to tell you I was pretty p!ssed when I first saw it pull in the drive on a trailer. But I took it anyway without looking underneath first-2nd mistake.
The entire cab is basically junk, as soon as I took the front end off the whole thing settled and lost its shape. It needs the drivers side floor replaced, all cab mounts, the subframe, cab corners and rockers. I think I'll put a diff. bed on it for now, but I'm gonna keep the original one since it has a wood floor which is something I've never before heard of in 73-87 longbeds. I've been collecting parts and money since last summer, doing whatever work I could afford and had time for whenever I could. Right now the chassis is pretty much done w/new bushings and shocks and stuff except for rear leaves(I need a new pair). Painted the chassis satin black, she looks pretty good but I don't have any pics of it in her current state. I should have a motor in it in the next month or so if all goes right. Hopefully I can save it, but in the mean time I plan on getting another 73-87 and driving it and eventually tricking this one out.

Very cool, and it is a 73 too!
Wood beds were offered in lwb fleet, and both short and long stepside. Wood beds were NOT offered in 6.5 foot fleetsides...go figure. Good luck on your project! OH, and BTW...I have 2 73/74 grills if you need one. Both are in good shape with no cracks, one has pretty nice chrome still, and the other needs to be painted, the chrome is worn off here and there. If interested PM me.

I like the interior. It looks really nice for being 31 years old. Check out Captkaos's website for replacement sheetmetal. I bought mine from there for my 73, and it fit pretty well.

Good luck with it. I still don't understand why you guys from the North don't buy Southern trucks. Down here we wouldn't touch a rusted truck unless there was a really good reason....

I think its a matter of finding one and having enough cash at the same time. We yankees take what we can get, lol.
