what is it worth? 72 Cheyenne

I just got a 72 cheyenne from a friend of the family for $1,000. It is a 72 C20 Cheyenne Super with a 402 BB, 400 Turbo trans., 3:54 dana 60 rear end,pwer brakes , power steering, cruise control,fact. tach. ,cold air cond.,Three gas tanks (75 gallon cap.)Fact. over the cab lights. ,a spotlight that goes thru the post to the left of the windshield ( looks Factory),Wooden bead, Rear leaf springs,all cheyenne equipment, rear sliding window,fact. tinted windows,cargo light,the truck is pretty clean . The big block runs great.I am thinking of restoring it and was curious about what it would be worth now and after.

Probably a good bit with all those options. You should post pics of it. Is everything original?. How are the cab supports,etc.?. Welcome from Maryland by the way!

If its in halfway decent shape, its worth about 3 or 4 times your thousand dollar purchase!With the 402BB and all the options runnning or not, I can say for sure you made a GREAT SCORE. Congradulations.

the cab mounts are in very good cond.I think that the truck possibly had been undercoated after production. I have the normal amount of body repairs for a truck this old .small dents and surface rust, I will probably replace the rockers eventually.everything is still original under the hood and inside and out of the truck.I will post some pics soon .I am eager to get started on the old truck.I will need a few items here and there replaced to improve condition of show quality. that stuff is exspensive!I figure this time next year I will have it close to putting it in a local showing
