what's this part worth?

I can get a bare unbored 350 block with 4-bolt mains. What do you guys think it's worth? He is asking 150.00 bucks, I just don't know if this is a fair price or not. What do you all think.

thanks

Sounds like a deal to me! Is it just the block or the entire engine.Check under the timing cover for 010 or 020, which will indicate whether it is a high nickel block or not. Make sure all the mains are there as well.

I can beat that deal if interested. If memory serves it's a 1970 350 longblock, should be four bolt mains and high nickel count or I've got a 1969 327 large journal crank longblock. I'm pretty sure neither one as been bored out. I'm north of you

I don't think the block has any of the main caps, Is that a problem? I have some from a different engine, Thats why I was interested in this deal, I really just need to replace the block I have everything else I need.

Leroy I would be very interested if you can beat that deal. Can you get the numbers off the block?

thanks

The main caps are machined to fit that block. You can,t just swap them from a another block, with out the main caps the block is worthless.

Its possible but it may be costly. I have never heard of it being done. For the cost of the block and the machining you could find a block with mains cheeper.

you have to have the block line board to use different mains... round hear this goes for 150$ to 200$ you also may have to go though a few sets caus depending were the original hole was in the main cap .. I would pass on the block Just my 2 cents
