The Drags

So today i cleaned, washed, and vaccumed my truck. checked all fluids and tightened misc. loose bolts to run down to the drags and eat up some little hondas when i get there i cant run my truck cause of the gas tank is inside the cab i need to either put a fire wall in between the tank and the seat or move my tank under the bed (which i plan on anyways, but not soon) i guess it is some newer rule the NHRA imposed. have anyone else had this problem? maybe some 1/4 mile times too.
thanks

That rule's been around for a while. All you have to do is duct-tape some metal flashing back there and you're good to go.

I never had a problem, and the track I race at most of the time will boot you for wearing shorts instead of pants, sleeveless shirts instead of t-shirts, and won't let you run gate-down.

Of course, now I have carpet over it, so maybe they'll just kinda ignore it. I've also snuck through a lug short on a wheel before...

the funny thing is its not even a NHRA track, but they go by NHRA rules. i was talking to the guys i got my truck dyno'd at and they made them put more air in there slicks. they always run 6-7 lbs at everywhere they go. they also tried telling them they needed a bigger roll cage, they have had their car NHRA certified, so they just get wind of rules and try to impose them on every one. i am not going there ever again. its a $h!++y track anyway.
