what kind of bolt holds the fan shroud on

i bought a new fanshroud and cant figure out what kind of bolt holds the fan shroud on. anybody know the size and thread?

mine has 2 small bolts at the top and clips on the bottom ... not sure on the size ..real tiny though

My 70 has bolts and clips and the 68 uses four bolts. Looked on the 68 just now and it has a 5/16 bolt with a 1/2 head and is less than a half inch long in total length from head of bolt to its end.

Don't know if this is right for all trucks though as this truck has had several motors through it and the bolts are not orginal. But it gives a place to start I guess. Hope it helps.

The bottom has 2 clips. The top has course thread 1/4" or 5/16" with the clips in the radiator retainers.

Yup, my '70 follows this. Two small bolts on top (3/8" head) and two clips on the bottom.

ok thanks. the bolt i was trying had a 1/2 inch head and wasnt working.... ill try this later
