Whats an A/C Heat Switch?
My painless wiring manual keeps talking about running wires to this switch, but what and where is it?
Also, is the A/C controls supposed to have 1 or 2 lights? my harness only has 1 and the controls have 2 holes.

The A/C control has two lights and the wire is gray.
I have three of these controls and one has no lights, one has one light, and the other has two lights. I am planning to wire mine up with two lights, but like you I might have to add another bulb and socket. I have also noticed that one of the vacuum switches has three lines two it and the other two have just two. As far as the switch that they are referring to I would think that that would be the compressor switch that is located on the back side of the diverter box at the end of the cable for the diverter flap. What color and how many wires are there for the switch?

The wire is black with white stripes. Its not the switch on the back of the diverter box. The wire is used twice in the wiring. Once its included in the plug that goes to the fan switch (the manual says it comes from the fuse pannel to the A/C Heat Switch). Then another wire, the same color says it comes from the compressor and should connected to the A/C heat switch. Well, since one wire is included in the fan switch plug, does this mean that this A/C heat switch is part of the fan switch, and the 2nd wire the is supposed to go to the A/C heat switch should be spliced into this other wire in the fan switch plug? If it is, why didn't painless do it?
This is a pretty nice harness, but their instructions and tech help sucks.

I would not think that you should have to splice the wire.
My compressor has two wires attached to the clutch plate and one is a short frame ground and the other is green and goes through the firewall. Where does this black and white wire terminate You stated that one end is on the dash side of the firewall near the a/c control and the other end is? I have seen a few wireing diagrams posted from others that have helped me a lot when troublshouting various electrical issues.
