Tilt Steering Columns

Will a Tilt Steering Column from a '73 Chevy Truck work in my 70 GMC?
I don't see why not. But thought I'd ask here before I spend the time and money to get it from a truck at a local salvage yard I went to this weekend.
What year Tilt Steering Units will work as in direct bolt-ins for my 70 GMC?

There are 2 70 C10 and a 67 C20 here now, since the past couple of months.

One of the '70 C10s has buckets seats with flip up seat brackets. They are blue and need to be recovered. And a crank type sunroof in fair shape.

With enough work, you can make it work in your aplication.
You'll have to wire up the ignition switch in the column or have a key deal that isn't being used, and you'd have to unlock the column when you went to drive it.
I think the column diameter is larger on the 73 & up too, which would nesesitate making the hole in the bottom of the dash and insterment panel larger too.
You can get a tile out of a 72 - 80 van that is pretty close to a bolt in, and this is the closest you'll get.
Actually, some motor homes had a column that is a direct fit, but they are far and few between in wrecking yards.

I wasn't even thinkin about the ignition. I'd rather keep it like factory. So that column wouldn't work for me.
