You didn’t do bad at all. Enjoy your new truck!

Re: ‘72 c10 deluxe. What’s it worth (urgent)
I paid $7500 for my base model ‘67 GMC from the original owner five years ago...garage kept, 113,000 original miles, original engine, original interior including seats, no weird wiring, a bit of surface rust here and there, and full (believably) maintenance records (the owner was an 84 year old retired engineer - he greased it on schedule!) It’s now a 41 year old truck and I no doubt will have to put some money into it in the near future, but it will be worth it!

Great deal. Much less than the $7,000.00 that I paid...

Newt, for the truck you describe, I'd say you did very well on that price...
I've heard some say that just about any safely running, driving truck is worth $2k, and no question, you got that and more. Good job, congrats!

Re: ‘72 c10 deluxe. What’s it worth (urgent)
You did great! You could double your money right now but it’s too nice. Really clean and original which is harder to find every day. I paid $2400 for a 71 c10 not running and bad trans but original and it turned into a really nice patina driver.

Agree x100, wouldn't last a WEEK in this state. Lotsa' overpriced trucks languishing on Craigslist/etc., but the deals get snapped up quickly. Have your trailer already hooked up and be ready!

Re: ‘72 c10 deluxe. What’s it worth (urgent)
Paid $2100 for my 72 very little rust and drove it home. What was said above about PP being a drop in the bucket. No truer words spoken as I have about 3 times that in parts already but making it a tribute to my dad so it is $$$ well spent.
