Re: Rebirth of Clyde

Hey Clyde, that grille looks beautiful! Also love the rest of the truck.
I have a question if you don't mind answering about the rear suspension setup you have. I have seen your other posts about the truck bed trailer you have and the sweet camper as well, and I was wondering how the truck handled it with being lowered. I want to lower mine some, but still want to be able to tow a truck bed trailer and my dad's Champion bass boat. Thanks in advance!

Thanks cwcarpenter98!

I haven’t driven Clyde and Bonnie( the Camper) together much, I put air bags on Clyde to handle the weight and be lowered. I had 4” drop springs and they were way to soft, almost dragging the ground. With the airbags, I just air them up to (45# driving) whatever is needed to handle the extra weight.

It really depends on how much you want to lower it. 2” wont hurt you at all.

Thanks! I want to lower it some, but I don't think it will happen any time soon. Got too much on my plate.

I really like the grille and the fresh powder coated parts. Did you use new screws for the bulb retainer rings? I'm missing some screws, and I have no idea where to get some from
