DB's 66 C10 Shortbed
Have been working on this for the last few months and decided I'd post some pics. This is my first real top to bottom build. This started out as a "rat rod" project but has turned into a bit more than that. I had an engine I decided to have rebuild and from there it snowballed thanks to Porterbuilt Anyway I'd like any suggestions and I have a lot of questions so take a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks, Here is where it started, a rebuilt engine and a cheap truck I think this guy just wanted to clean out his storage unit. I took 2 loads like this out mostly junk... Porterbuilt Extreme Front and Rear Drop-members Last edited by Dee27xpress; 09-02-2015 at 10:50 AM. Reason: add pic |

PBFab will have that effect. It starts with some new mirrors and bumpers then all of a sudden its in a million pieces!
Looks like a fun build. Ill be watching. |

Slowly but surely things continue to move along. Ran into a buddy from High School Chad Buhler that does pin striping and he hooked me up with a little of his art. You can check him out on instagram #buhler_custom_art

Re: DB's 66 C10 Shortbed
One more Quick one. I had a guy offer to powder coat my grill for free if I posted some pics and gave my reviews. So first off they did the job in just a couple days and did great work. I will use them again. I'm not a huge fan of the "super Chrome" powder coat. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: DB's 66 C10 Shortbed
Agreed ^^^^^^ truck looks great. Not sure if its the pic or not but the grill doesn't have that crisp chrome shine that some can get from powder.

Re: DB's 66 C10 Shortbed
Want to toss one more on finished up the Accuair last night. I hate seeing wires, so there is still some work to do
BTW I Agree on the crisp look of chrome. We'll see how it looks with the bumpers on. If it's too much of a contrast, it'll be back to the drawing board |

Re: DB's 66 C10 Shortbed
I like the grille it will look good on a satin painted truck, it looks like aluminum and the price was right

Re: DB's 66 C10 Shortbed
Thanks, I actually have been thinking I'd like to do a satin pearl white on it, maybe it will look ok.
I'll gather some more pic's of the body work and the Selfmade firewall shavers i got from Selfmade Brandon. |
