Fuel tank relocation with leaf springs

I have a 72 short bed GMC and I am relocating the fuel tank. I bought the Blazer tank with the side fill and i think I am going to have issues running the filler tubes. Has anyone used the side fill tank with leaf springs and if so do you have pics on how you ran your hoses. I’ve tried looking threw the forum but have had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Fuel tank relocation with leaf springs

I never relocated a tank, I mess with the blazers some. The filler on the blazers goes between the frame and body. The filler on an original tank has a weird dog leg in it to go around a body mount. The blazers are leaf spring also short beds and blazers are the same dimension from the center of the wheel arch back. Hope that helps some.

Re: Fuel tank relocation with leaf springs

Maybe someone with a short bed mod will chime in, this is in a long bed with a Boyd 2" side fill tank, I had hoped to used lowering shackles on this, not an option in this location.....Your results may vary.... depends on where the fill tube is located coming out of the tank..you may want to search fuel filler, top fill, side fill..etc..Good luck.
