At last, some accurate information instead of fear mongering. See, there ARE stipulations whereby one can legally remove and restore VIN plates. If it's "necessary for repair" and it's "not furthering theft or fraud" it's perfectly legit.
These VIN threads will sure let you quickly know who out there is a car BUYER and not a car BUILDER.
