69-72 K5 Bikini top info

Back in March I posted asking for names of people interested in a bikini top for the 69-72 K5. Friday I e-mailed out information that TonyP and I have put together for a bikini top that we made available. If you want to receive this info pm me and let me know you want me to send the info to you.

Here's what the bikini top looks like.

that looks cool but doesnt seem that hard to make if you wanted to make your own. just sketch out the front arc and then put in a seam with some snaps, make it as wide as you need and as long as you want..... works great if you have a roll cage like that one also. what happens if you dont have a roll cage? sorry if i seem like an @$$h@!$ just some things i noticed. but it is nice that you are making the 67-72 crowd get heard yukon jack. it's a step in the right direction.

sorry if this was taking offensively, i didnt mean for it to hurt anyone or get anyone mad

No offense taken, yes if you can stitch up fabric it can be made yourself. And yes I'm sure a local shop can make it also but a local top shop here in town wanted $45 an hour and easily would have taken them more then $100 to make it so this at least gets a product that no one else is willing to produce available to people who can't sew canvas or just prefer to buy rather than trial and error. This bikini top won't work without a rollcage. The price is right in line with what a Scout or Bronco bikini top sales for I might add.

Here's the top view of one attachment style - the other style attaches with snaps only.

Jerry, you have to have a rollbar to use this bikini top.

Yep I tried to convince STC to make these for 69-75's with no luck and I did a review for them. They already had the hardware and it was just the matter of triming down the pattern for their existing top and they didn't feel it would be profitable.

Jack...make it fit the 73-75's and you can tap a little more market!

YUKON JACK..Do you think the bikini top would work if the drip rail has been shaved off and the window frame chopped and laid back a bit??

It doesn't hook on the drip rail so as long as the window frame is there, should be okay. Shouldn't matter if it is chopped and laid back as long as there is a roll bar to go over.
