Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

Decent bumper with guards and brkts. $100 local pickup only. Please respond in the post. First take it gets it. I don’t mind storing for a while if it’s paid for.

Not sure. Got it in some parts I bought. Not as familiar with 60-66 trucks. Maybe someone will chime in shortly.

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

That is a neat piece that would complement a patina truck quite well. I don't have the money for it, but I wish I did.

Is the rust all the way through on the guards?

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

I would say it's 60-62 based on how close the bolt holes are. 63-66 has a bigger spread.

I'd be interested if you could ship it. If there's any possibility it would be to 98264. Thanks, Ron

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

Ron I've FedEx'd these bumpers without any packaging, FedEx has a special pouch that you can zip tie through the bolt holes. But there can't be any sharp edges so the brackets would have to come off (the guards should be fine though). You could probably mail him a label and then have FedEx go pick it up.

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

Yes there is some rust through in one if not both guards down low. Try to get better pics later today.

I've never dealt with shipping items. Is there any chance you can give me a quote to ship it to 98264? Thanks.

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

Looking through the Engineering book in 63 there's a statement about how they started to recess the bumper bolt holes as of 63. Noticeable on Suburban rear bumpers especially. 62 and below seem not to have this recess. Can anybody verify and does this bumper have the recess around the opening for the bumper bolts?

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

I also think it might be a 60-62 bumper. The top, center bolt holes look to have a shorter distance from the bottom bolts than on my 63

If it is a 63-66 bumper, would you be interested in a trade? My bumper + cash for yours

Thanks! I'm not sure how, but the grille is the only body part that does not have any dents or rust through

Re: Patina Front Bumper w/Guards

I think you are correct on this being an early bumper. I found another one that I had that shows the same spacing difference. Anyway here are a few more pictures.
