Body molding out of vinyl?
I am in the process of doing a 89 k5. The front clip (hood and fenders) are not in great shape. I have a 79 pickup with near perfect body. I am planning on moving the front clip from the 79 to the 88. I like the early square look better and it will save a lot of body work. In doing this I plan on doing the traditional mid to late 70vs two tone. The available body molding seams to be pricy and have fit and finish problems. I just saw one of the new chevy with the old school two tone look up close. The two tone middle is actually vinyl and has the trim look incorporated into the vinyl. Got me to wondering if someone offers the trim molding in a vinyl that just looks like the molding. Anyone seen such a thing?

I have been looking at getting these for my Chevy Colorado. Its pretty standard looking door trim. Not sure if this is what your looking for. But I'm sure there are places, with further searching, that have more of a roll of molding. A roll of molding can be cut to size. But it will probably be pricey as well.
