Factory shim for fender liner
This shim was tack welded to the cab rails and appears to be factory. I have never seen one before and it seems strange to have to shim the fender liner. I was curious as to whether anyone else has run into one of these.

Yep have them on mine. Mine weren't welded though.

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

Thanks for the feedback! I thought that you could always just pull the fender liner up to the cab and no shims were used.

Jim is it welded or has it just "fused" itself over the years?
