Stock height?
Snagged a K10 last weekend. Its got 32x11.50 tires. I think its perhaps got a 2 inch lift but there are no blocks out back and only 3 springs on front and 5 rear. Hell maybe it is stock height. How can I tell?

Re: Stock height?
Sounds like it could be an add-a-leaf.

Re: Stock height?
Yours is probably the stock height. Mine is stock with 33x12.5 tires. It has 3 on the front and 5 plus 1 thick (short) leaf on the rear.
On my option list, included is "F60 heavy duty front springs"

Re: Stock height?
I think the option winch/snow plow option had 3 leafs up front. Or an add-a-leaf.
Do they all look like they are grouped together nicely, or is one leaf touching at the tips with maybe a little space between leafs as you go towards the middle?

Re: Stock height?
if the front springs have a slight negative arch, they are stock, an add-a-leaf, like Ski-me said, will have some gaps between the leaves.
although not real common, a longer shackle can increase ride height, but it will drop the pinion down if no shims were used to correct it. Given the stance of your truck, it looks pretty close to original. |
