Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
The workmanship is great I can’t comment on the look until it’s on the truck maybe seem less to those without a keen eye

The grille surround looks amazing.... Is it a new piece? Also the blue looks a bit lighter after the clear was applied. Lovin that color

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Possibly could, the instructions were terrible from Western. Do you have any insight? Or pictures?

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Yeah just flip them around. Idea is with lowering you change geometry of shocks which basically lays them down further. The relocation brackets bring the shocks back upright correcting the geometry. No big deal just flip them around.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Here are a few pics I found.
Here you can see how far forward they move the shocks from original location. It's not a great pic but you can see the direction I installed them here. Underneath shot, on the left is my rear sway bar(toward front of truck), to the right is the rear of the truck.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Thanks again that makes way more sense than how I have them, one of my shocks I thought was too short and I thought it was because I didn't have weight on the back yet.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Decided to go ahead and put power steering on this weekend, put the quicker ratio box on and it really didn't cost too much. Still need to

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Got my ACC carpet and floor deadener from Rockauto, best price I found. Installed sill plates and finished all my under dash wiring while the seat was out. Finished upholstering seat and will assemble this week and install.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
I just used the factory style tar type deadener from ACC, I'm sure theres better stuff out there. The carpet is not glued down so if I need to add something later I will be able to do so.

Re: 1972 C10 LWB Georgia Project
Finished my seat, cover from NPD. Had to go to a upholstery shop near me. Universal Interiors, great guy Doug Jones and have the material steamed and stretch to get on. Added 1 inch of foam and fixed a couple springs. Repaint on tracks and bolted down. Needs to come out again to put in belts at a later date. I love the look of it though.
