Pete,
I agree with you those would not bolt up to the bottom of the rocker box.
Still looking!

Re: Wtb-NOS accessory steps 994454

I used Bully AS 200 steps. They bolt up to the bottom of the rocker boxes. Have to have long arms to reach up in the rocker box for washers and nuts. I used larger bolts in all four holes instead of the sheet metal screws that come with them for two of the four spots on each step. Wish that they were a little longer, but they work and are unobtrusive.

Re: Wtb-NOS accessory steps 994454

Someone on facebook is thinking about reproducing the ones you are looking for in stainless. I saw it a couple of months ago on one of the blazer groups, he built a set for his self and was gauging interest. I'm not good with facebook so I'm not going to try and find it lol.

Thank you both for the info. I think I'll see if I can have some custom ones fabbed up that bolt to the frame and the rocker box

Re: Wtb-NOS accessory steps 994454

Do these take special bolts/sleeves or anything? It doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy to bolt these to the rocker box.... but I guess it's worked for 50 years.
Can someone post a good picture of these installed? Google failed me.

The picture in post #1 I took of the set that's presently installed on my Blazer. At the time, the rocker box end caps were off so bolts were placed through strap and tacked into place. The strap was then inserted threads down into the the boxes, guided through the drilled holes, and the steps bolted into place. I can remove the steps if desired and cap the threads with the nuts.

Thank you! An effort I don't wish to pursue anytime soon but glad I did it. I've left the top in place so the gaskets can settle but look forward to top removal later this summer. Pete
