Chain Less Tailgate Option's??

My friend has a 56 Ford and he used those slide latches like you would see on an old screen door. the ones where you can push the rod to the left and then turn it down to lock it in the open posistion and then to close pick the little handle up and push it to the right and then turn it down to put it in the locked position.

There cheap like 2 dollars a peice i just put one on a water heater closet door i made today.
