Help identifying orange wire

In the progress of rewiring my electrical engine harness and noticed some had the AUX fuel connector wire (pink) running to this orange wire instead. It appears there is a connector by the fuel pedal.

Can anyone help identify what this is and how it should be properly wired? It is for a 1988 Chevrolet V30 DRW. Thanks.

Re: Help identifying orange wire

th400 trans kick down switch power circuit . you need this if you still have the th400 trans in the vehicle .

red from fuse box prob to switch and then orange out to trans connector .

and who even PINCHED them wires between sharp body panel and rubber grommet should be shot . great way to start a fire . i know your cleaning this stuff up now so its not aimed at you .
