1970 c20 disc brake swap
hello,
been trying to figure out if this can work. 1977 disc brake spindle from a g30, I replaced the "big disc" with a normal one had to change upper and lower ball joint longer hydraulic hose everything works to this point. spindle is mounted and moves freely. the point where I am a little bit curious is the steering. my 70 c20 got 5/8" tie rods (if i´m right?) the van spindle asks for a 11/16" tie rod. Is there any other solution than buying this super expensive hotchkis tie rod adapter sleeves where you can connect a 11/16 tie rod to a 5/8. remember that I´m from Europe. So shipping heavy and big parts like a spindle is very expensive. Last edited by sim; 03-28-2019 at 09:30 AM. |

Really what are the odds that we would both be in the process of doing the same thing on a c20. I pulled up the forum, because I couldn't remember how the steering went.

@simon tek
Haha, even the same name! Thank you all. I've ordered the hotchkis tie rod adapters. I'll let you know if it works. |
